1. Summary

Bimo is a virtual pet browser extension. It is designed to be privacy-first. We do not operate any server that collects your data. All of your progress, settings, and chat history are stored locally in your own browser using Chrome's storage. We cannot see any of it.

2. What is stored (locally, on your device only)

• Your buddy's progress: level, EXP, coins, missions, cosmetics owned/equipped, chosen character.
• Your settings: buddy name, language, voice preferences, custom personality text.
• Your recent chat history with the buddy (kept only to give the AI conversational context).
• Your Gemini API key, if you choose to provide one. It is stored only in your browser and is sent only to Google's API when you chat.

This data never leaves your device except as described in section 3.

3. Third parties

• Google Gemini API: If you provide your own API key, your chat messages and the text you ask the buddy to summarize are sent directly from your browser to Google's Gemini API to generate a response. This is governed by Google's API terms. Note that Google's free tier may use API content to improve their models — do not send sensitive information (passwords, PINs, confidential data) to the buddy.
• Gemini Nano (on-device): If you use Chrome's built-in AI instead of an API key, your messages are processed entirely on your own device and are not sent anywhere.
• Gmail notifications (optional): Only if you explicitly enable this feature and grant permission, the extension reads your Gmail notification feed (using your existing browser session) to tell you when new email arrives. This information is shown to you and never sent to us or any third party.

4. What we do NOT do

• We do not have a server and do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to ourselves.
• We do not sell or share your data with anyone.
• We do not track your browsing history or build a profile of you.
• We do not show ads.

5. Page content access

The extension runs on the pages you visit so the buddy can walk on screen and so you can select text for it to summarize. Page content is only read when you actively use the "Summarize" feature on text you have selected, and it is sent only to the AI provider described above to produce a summary. We do not collect or retain page content.

6. Removing your data

Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data. You can also clear it anytime via your browser settings.

3. Pihak ketiga

• Google Gemini API: Jika kamu memakai API key sendiri, pesan chat dan teks yang kamu minta untuk diringkas dikirim langsung dari browser ke Gemini API Google. Tunduk pada ketentuan API Google. Free tier Google bisa memakai konten API untuk melatih model — jangan kirim data sensitif (password, PIN, data rahasia) ke buddy.
• Gemini Nano (on-device): Jika kamu memakai AI bawaan Chrome, pesanmu diproses sepenuhnya di perangkatmu dan tidak dikirim ke mana pun.
• Notifikasi Gmail (opsional): Hanya jika kamu mengaktifkan fitur ini dan memberi izin, ekstensi membaca feed notifikasi Gmail (memakai sesi browser kamu) untuk memberi tahu ada email baru. Informasi ini hanya ditampilkan ke kamu, tidak dikirim ke kami atau pihak lain.

4. Yang TIDAK kami lakukan

• Kami tidak punya server dan tidak mengumpulkan data pribadimu.
• Kami tidak menjual atau membagikan datamu ke siapa pun.
• Kami tidak melacak riwayat browsing atau membuat profil tentangmu.
• Kami tidak menampilkan iklan.

5. Akses konten halaman

Ekstensi berjalan di halaman yang kamu buka agar buddy bisa jalan di layar dan agar kamu bisa memblok teks untuk diringkas. Konten halaman hanya dibaca saat kamu aktif memakai fitur "Ringkas Teks" pada teks yang kamu pilih, dan hanya dikirim ke penyedia AI di atas. Kami tidak mengumpulkan atau menyimpan konten halaman.

6. Menghapus data

Menghapus (uninstall) ekstensi akan menghapus semua data lokal. Kamu juga bisa membersihkannya kapan saja lewat pengaturan browser.
